Who is Tara Clark Newberry

Family & Community Service
To say Tara’s professional life is shaped by her personal one is an understatement. Tara believes that serving the community starts with strong family values. Having come from a working class family, she and her wife, Aimee, are the devoted parents of five children. They love participating with them in neighborhood events (especially sports). Tara coaches soccer, t-ball and volunteers at her childrens’ school, while Aimee is a dedicated Girl Scout Troop Leader. They share a belief that family life involves giving back, and are passionate about sharing that experience with their kids.
Education & Life Experience
While working her way through school, Tara completed her undergraduate degree with honors in 1997 at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. She majored in Criminal Justice and History, which led her to a successful career with law enforcement. While an officer in Cincinnati, Tara had various assignments, and her position as neighborhood officer was by far her favorite. She went to community meetings and met with residents in one of the largest and most diverse communities in the city developing relationships, listening to the citizens and fostering joint efforts with other city departments to create problem oriented policing solutions. She volunteered for Police-Youth Live-in Camp, bringing inner-city youth together with Cincinnati Police Officers to build trust, friendship, respect, and mutual understanding through a camp experience. She was commended for her innovation and service by community leaders and the rank and file of the department on many occasions. Tara later earned her law degree in 2006 from California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA.
Throughout her legal career, Tara has strived to stay current and develop innovative solutions for different areas of practice. Tara has taught both attorneys and real estate professionals both locally and nationally, below are several classes and seminars.
